Here's To Never Growing Up

I don't want to grow up. So much things I have to face on my own. Commitments, responsibilities, the future, and the list goes on. Recently, it seems to have suddenly came in to me that I'm growing up. I'll be graduating soon and I have to either look for a job or go to university.

Just by looking at people already applying for uni, I'm feeling panicky myself. Why do they already have plans for their future and here I am, still lost and messed up about my future? I don't even want to try applying for uni because I'm that lazy. The amount of procedures and things to submit.. I rather not. Actually, I do have plans, for now. Its actually just to get a job first, then earn enough money to get enrolled in university maybe.

But then again, in order to get a job, there's so much things to prepare as a design student. Others just have to prepare a nice plain standard resume and go for interviews with full confidence. We designers have something in addition, a portfolio. So since I had time this week, I finally did up my online portfolio in a day yesterday. Still lacking my FYP but, its presentable. Gave up on my old portfolio website because I realise the design of the website determines what kind of designer I am at first impression. No, I don't want that, I want to be versatile to different kind of design. Thus, the change.

I'm on cargo collective now. If you guys are interested, here's the link: cargocollective.com/joannechia Or you can just click "DESIGN PORTFOLIO" just below my blog banner.

So I guess soon I'll be emailing various companies for interviews. But only when I know when is my earliest working date. Recently school's been.. I don't know? I don't even need to go school anymore after next week's presentations and a bunch of briefing. The only thing I know is I have a Design Show on the 3rd to 5th April, and my graduation ceremony is on the 27th May.

So what do I do from next week to April, and April to the 27th of may? Can I start working without graduating?? I DON'T KNOW MAN. So confused. Hope the briefing next week clarifies everything.

Meanwhile, I've been working a few part time jobs as a dinner service crew/waitress on random. Its a no commitment job, if you wanna work then just comment on the facebook post. Its paying quite well too. Just a few weeks ago, I was working for the Singapore Airshow 2014. Never knew I could be so happy just watching fighter jets flying in the sky!

As all previous post did, I'm ending abruptly here. BYE.
