I used to rely a lot on my boyfriends. My whole life basically revolves around them, and everything that happened to me daily, I'll share it with them without fail. But this year, it's a whole lot of difference for me. I don't have a boyfriend to share my life with. That's when I learnt to become independent, and start noticing things and life around me.
I finally resigned my Supervisor designation at Pizza Hut. I wanted to leave that place since last year, so I can leave behind all those memories I had there, and also to give myself more rest. I've been working long hours (14 hours/day) every weekend and I finally felt tired.
Nevertheless, I had the best 3 years of my life in Pizza Hut. I can never thank enough the amount of people I've met there, whom I've made friends with and also those aunties and colleagues who've taken great care of me. Extra thanks to Riduwan, Lifang, Izad, Belle, Yong Xin, Fahrul, Yi Hwee, Irene, Eja, Salina, Iffah, Winnie and Cris!
Through my Internship at Nokomai, I've gained a new perspective into life. I've seen the generosity, great attitude and politeness my colleague have. They have taught me how to be more forgiving and generous to people. How a simple greeting/caring words can make someone's day.
I've learnt to greet people more and appreciate the little things people do for me, and be thankful of the things I still have. I would like to thank all my colleagues in Nokomai for teaching me so much things, not just about design, but about life. It's a whole new level of experience I've gained.
Also at SPRMRKT, a new part time job I've gotten myself into. I'm glad to have applied for the job. The wonderful environment and customers they have there! All my colleagues have also taken such good care of me. I feel blessed to be around a bunch of lively happy people every time I go to work! And also all the regular angmoh customers who are super nice!!
I also want to thank my bestie Michelle for being the one supporting me always. Even though we don't chat often like every single day, we always have endless things to talk about whenever we met! I'm truly blessed to have found such a friend. She's always so generous to me and have always been the one to take care of me, even though I'm the older one! Cheers to many more years of friendship!!
Not forgetting this two friends I met in Poly, Evelyn and Shirley! Thanks for everything in the past two years! Without you guys, I'll never find my comfort zone in poly, and being able to comfortably speak Chinese in daily conversations! Thankful for having you guys to celebrate and plan every year's birthday surprise for me, even though both times it failed! Hahaha. Hope our friendship continues to bloom after we've all graduated next year!
I'm blessed to have such amazing bunch of friends around me and also to have my family in good health and having similar level of humor as always!
In 2014, I want to learn more things, meet more people and also become a better person! I hope to put in more effort in every goal I set, and continue being hardworking! Thank you everyone for being a part of my life. Here's to greater heights and memories in 2014! Have a great year ahead everybody!
